The state leadership conference, held in Cherry Hill, New Jersey; is a two day event which brings together FCCLA members from across the state. Members get the opportunity to take part in a number of community service efforts, meet guest speakers, attend workshops, and compete in a variety of competitive events. The state conference offers two types of competitive events, State competitive events and National Star events. State competitive events give members the opportunity to hone their talents and compete at the state leadership conference; while National Star events allow members to not only compete at the state leadership conference, but if they qualify, they will get the chance to compete at the national leadership conference. Students also get the opportunity to network with fccla members from different parts of the state during a night of events which includes zumba, dancing, movies, and many other fun activities. Packed with fun and excitement, the state leadership conference is sure to be a great experience.
